I just started with Notion after being addicted to GDrive. Do you use both? I know you can integrate GDrive files but seems time-consuming to keep both going. Can you do a post on Notion please?
This was so helpful. I’m also a solopreneur. I create films, teach AI for Film and consult. A lot of my day is spent researching AI tools, deepening knowledge there and testing. I’m also a mom to a 1.5 year old. It’s a lot to juggle! I’ll try your 30 min a day challenge. Thanks for sharing. Also, are you Italian? Saw a note in your photo from Notion in Italian :)
Allora ciao! Sono fiorentina (metà americana ma cresciuta a Fi)…tu?
Need to build out the right organizational structure for my entire company and then be able to tag within different pages so when I search for one key tag that applies to things to do in different projects I can have them all there. Like a master To Do that pulls from different pages.
Offri consulenze? Magari mi puoi aiutare a impostare se ti faccio vedere come ho GDrive organizzato!
I can see how that works but I get myself in knots with it because if I have a burst of ideas I end up with too many drafts that are really just titles.
I'm looking through the various kanban apps to see if I can manage it all better. Obviously ideas are exactly what's needed but 14 drafts isn't!
I love Excel and Google Sheets too. That’s why I avoided Notion for so long, but when I started doing courses, I couldn’t stop thinking of Notion and what Alberto said to me about it.
Notion is very scary for me.😱 it seems to require a lot of time just to get your head around it. ‘I’m Using Trello and it’s enough for me at this stage. The other tool that scares the hell out of me is Zapier 😬
I start a new Word document for each idea. Then I float around them.
Pre-publishing also reduces pressure.
After a burst of activity, I am currently two months ahead with 9 completed weekly long-form posts sitting there ready to go live.
This means I can pull back to writing one long post a week. If something urgent comes up, I can publish it fast and delay a less urgent post.
I also write a daily Note about something. And I make several comments on the posts of others. I also restack a post I like most days.
Regular activity is vital, as I proved studying for two degrees while also working.
It's surprising what posts trigger responses. I just got a new paid subscriber just because I posted about a cyclone here, which I didn't expect would excite much interest, but it did. I went up 30 free subscribers in a month. Unpredictable!

I'm Italian, yes. You too?
What do you need to learn about Notion?
Google Drive is good for sharing with people not using Notion.
And Notion doesn't have a spreadsheet alternative to GSheets. It depends on your needs.
Great guide, very informative, thanks!
I should look into something else to keep track of my ideas and help with scheduling than just creating endless drafts!
How are you tracking your ideas right now?
Right now I just create a draft with a title when I get an idea and put any ideas down in it.
I know other authors that follow this approach. They usually are “pure” writers. Most of their time is spent writing and publishing.
They somehow found a way to make a living from just writing. And they developed a sixth sense showing them the best ideas.

Any app suggestions?
I keep telling myself to give either Notion or Trello a real chance but I'm stuck in Google Docs and Sheets. They seem to serve my purposes for now.
If it works for you. Perfect!

You absolutely don't need to learn any tool. Unless something isn't working and you need a tool to fix it.
I love that philosophy 🤗
Oh, I’m a techy person and still Notion seems like a huge universe to me too. Figuring it out :)
Well that makes me feel better about giving it a pass ☺️
:)))
