New Custom GPT for Writing Substack Notes that Go Viral
I just can't keep it to myself. You have to try this out.
I have to share this with you.
I just can’t keep it to myself.
I created another custom GPT trained for writing Notes for Substack as per the rules and templates I described in the Notes30 Challenge.
It’s now part of the Challenge.
By the way, if you already run a newsletter on Substack and you haven’t joined yet, now is the time! Kickstart its growth with Notes! Your future self with thank you (big time).
Now, the GPT.
It’s great. I love it.
Look.
Notes is the #1 feature that brings you new subscribers on Substack.
All you have to do is:
Post a Note daily
Interact with others on Notes daily
If you want Notes that can go viral you have to try this GPT!
It's INVITE ONLY: You won't find it in ChatGPT Store. You can only access it through the link I give you (find it below).
This custom GPT is designed to write Notes using the templates I developed for my Notes30 Writing Challenge.
It is trained with my Notes writing rules, templates, and my top-performing Notes on Substack.
Since this is a short-form type of wiring suitable for social media, you can use this GPT for writing highly engaging posts for X, LinkedIn, and other Social Media (thank me later).
Listen, you CAN grow your subscribers fast on Substack.
Notes is the tool to do that.
I am living proof!
For the last three months, I’ve been researching what works best on Notes. A few weeks ago I started applying what I’ve learned and I finally started seeing results.
Before starting this, I used Notes occasionally and just posted whatever came to my mind. No structure, no specific idea or a strategy. I grew with ±5 new subscribers daily (on the good days).
Now I’m growing with ±10 new subscribers per day and that’s increasing.
Yesterday I got 21!!!
This works!
Here are some of my best-performing Notes so far:
And here is how I transformed my Notes writing:
Now let me show you what this GPT can do
How to Use this GPT?
Make it personal.
Don't put some vague prompts like "write a title about [whatever your topic is]"! You'll get shitty results, because the AI starts guessing.
Eliminate the need for guessing, help the AI. It is the same as if you provide a brief to your marketing agency to create a new advertisement. Or as if you brief a freelancer or ghostwriter. Give context.
Give as many details as possible for your new Note.
For example:
Topic: what is it about
Audience: who is it for and what are they trying to achieve
Storyline: your personal experience and takeaways
Here's an example:
See?
Already good enough to start polishing it.
Alternatively, you can use my writing prompts from my Notes30 Challenge - they are formulated as questions that provoke thinking. You will get a Note good enough to start editing.
DO NOT COPY AND PASTE DIRECTLY!
The issue with this approach: If you don't provide any personalized details in the prompt, make sure you edit it. Give your Note some of your wisdom and experience. This is what makes it highly engaging. The GPT will give you the structure and the format. Your job is to fill it with a powerful storyline.
Personalize it.
Bring it to live.
I decided to give it a try today.
I took one of my prompts in the Challenge:
"What’s one decision you’d make differently today?"
Here is the outcome:
And here is what I actually posted on Notes:
As you can see it's heavily edited with my personal experience and the actual message I want to transmit.
Full disclosure here: I don’t use this GPT for most of my Notes. When I use this GPT, I do so for inspiration and foundation to start build upon. Mostly for dealing with a subtle “writers block” after a hectic day at work.
If you want enagement, you need powerful story infused with YOU. Even if you give the GPT enough context it still can’t write the same thing as you.
So use it mindfully.
With that said…
